Might as well throw my tuppence (G)in here , hand tools are the way I would
do it too.
M9ight even go as far as to say I'd use a purfling tool. Violin makers use
them..The tool will scribe the wood, making a groove , into which a narrow
strip of decorative wood can be inserted, doesn't have to be another piece
of wood inserted, it could be filled with any compound.
