Dick,

My Pocket Ref guide lists PVC sched 40 pipe as "max useable temp of 140 degrees
and pressure ratings starting at 125-200 PSI (check the rating on the pipe or
with the seller). Can be used with water, gas, and drainage, but NOT hot water."

I use this book frequently for such questions and I believe it is a very
accurate guide, so you should be fine. If you find the Sched 40 pipe won't
carry over 125 PSI, look at the sched 80 pipe, it has thicker walls and I assume
a higher rating.

Best, Vic H
