Wow!  I'm overwhelmed with such a wonderful response to my
question.  You've given me a lot to think about and I sincerely thank you 
all.  Lest I've made my group sound too bad - I should say that this is probably 
more my own need than theirs.  We have a lot of fun.  Oh yes - I have taught 
them to sharpen but they don't like to and it's easier for me to buff things up 
on a wheel than for them to do it by hand.  I guess I remember when I first 
started carving how I would grovel to my teacher to get him to sharpen my knife 
for me.
The Grand Canyon Woodcarving Show is this weekend and I'm frantically trying 
to finish painting a Kachina to enter tomorrow.
Thank you all so much for your input.  This list is GREAT!
