The water softens the fiber. 
YUP!! Thats what I use!!! Best drink ever 

 The alcohol aids the water in penetrating 
deeper into the wood.  
WOOD??? What wood ?? 
I know I am DUTCH but I do not (repeat NOT ) have a wooden head
