They will usually have a meeting the first Sunday in
October, and their "Spirit of Wood" show a week or two
after.

Also not to be missed is the Mystic Carvers Club
annual Woodcarvers Retreat, usually held at the W.
Alton Jones center campus of the University of Rhode
Island, traditionally scheduled for Columbus Day
weekend.  This site is on about 2-3,000 acres of mixed
woods and old farmland

It's presented at a bargain price (the instructors
donate their time).  Typically the instructors have
included Peter Benson from England, Rip Stangroom,
Pete LeClair, and others.

Their announcement on this years retreat should be out
within the month.  Chairmen are usually Jim O'Dea and
Ray Johnson.
