I've been busy with commissions lately.
A large crest - 36" diameter - went to the Board offices of the Peace
Wapiti School board in Grande Prairie, AB.

Also finished a carving in white birch based on Luke's account of the
parable of the Sower.

Both these carving represented a significant challenge. The Crest was
in the hardest piece of Red Oak I've ever carved in. BRUTAL. I did the
stamping took me over three afternoons so that I would not wear out my
arms. Even then, I strained my right arm and an old case of tendentious
flared up. Yikes.
The Sower carving represented a challenge in design. But I was pleased
how the spreading of the seek worked out. Raised and incised carving
added to the complexity of the carving.
