[Woodcarver] Relief carving question

Hi all
I plan to make a relief carving for my church, and I am concerned about how to hang it.  

It will be about 4 foot square - 3 inches thick - butternut or basswood.  What can I attach to the back to hang something this size? I’m worried that a screwed fastener will pull out due to the weight of the wood.
