OK so what does this have to do with carving.:-))

It is too hot to work in my 'shop so I have been forced to move inside.
I am working on the handrail to my stair case that I built about fifteen
years ago. At that time I was busy and did it in spare moments, as soon as
I had a bit made I would give it one coat of polyurethene and fix it in 
place.
I also had more enthusiasm than skill and very few tools ( no bent ones at
all )so the carving on the balusters is not the best.
I have been fixing up the carving and refinishing with three coats this 
time.

So you see the weather does have a connection.
