and now my 15 year old is turning me onto a bit of rap and new stuff, smashmouth, John mayer just to name a few.  There are some good new bands around if you give em a chance.  

Right on!  I'm not sure I can say I like alot rap yet but my kids have certainly broadened my horizons...  chances are if I pull up next to you at a stop light the bass that will be thumpping wil be "Black Dog" or some such...  hehe.  But there  is some good new stuff out there.  Aa few months ago John Mayer was on "Austin City Limits" program on PBS...  the dude is real.
