Question--
Hi All,
Just a short while ago someone was looking for those who do turnings.
Now it's my turn to ask after I inadvertently hit the delete key on all my
saved items. :( My question to the wood turners is, do you glue a spacer
block to the wood that you are turning and screw your faceplate to that
spacer? If you do, what kind of glue are you using for that?
Thanks.....

I have used a spacer block in the past. I used regular Elmers wood glue.
I have had good luck with this method as long as you remember to be careful.
You are relying on a glue joint which is weaker than the wood. So I would
run at slower speeds and be careful not to catch a tool.? Good luck
