I use a 12" Sears bandsaw I've had for something over 30 years.  i use it 
almost every day cutting out blanks, (and my son cuts the firewood on it) and 
I've never had a problem with it.  I'm reluctant to buy a newer one that won't 
serve me as well.  (That said, now probably the bearings will let go. lol.)   Rip
