    You might try a great wood supplier in Bradenton, Fl., whom I have had great success with all kinds of wood.  He is known by Pac 
3502 32nd St. 
West Bradenton, Fl 34205

He advertises wood for carvers, turners, furniture makers.  He seems to have a lot of Catalpa lumber.
