[Woodcarver] Re:teaching seniors to carve

Hello, 

This is an old subject that shows up from time to time and now 
has come around to me. 

I am trying to start a carving club in a senior community in Florida 
so as to have some people to carve with during the winter months. 

I found one person who started a few months ago and is using a knife 
to carve some relief's and simple stylized animals. 

Another person has expressed interest in learning how to "whittle", 
or possibly woodcarve but has never held a tool. 

I myself am a fair caricature carver but never taught anyone 
and am looking for suggestions on how to get started in teaching 
beginners whatever passes for whittling, etc.
