It is true, there is more nudity on TV than there was in that
flag-semi-covered female image. This explains why Deb and I watch less
and less TV, and are being more and more selective about what we watch.
Regardless... what is acceptable on in the rest of the media does not
have to be acceptable on this List. I desire that this list be free on
content that demeans women. My wife follows the list daily, and found
the image offensive (she saw the image on her computer upstairs before
I did, in fact), and that was enough for me. I seek as much to honor
her in the way I manage this list as I seek to honor God. She is a
"precious jewel" and deserves nothing less.
There are quite a number of women on this List, and IMHO they do not
need to participate in yet another group that allows women to be
treated shabbily. I intend that this List be a safe and hospitable
place for both women and men to gather.
