Bill...I have a 19 inch monitor and my screen resolution is set at 1152 
x 864 pixels, and I still need to scroll sideways. If I set my screen 
res to 1280 x 960, then the whole page fits with no side scroll. You 
mentioned that you designed your page on a 17 inch monitor...what is 
your screen resolution...if it's quite high, then the whole page would 
fit on your monitor when you designed your page.
