[Woodcarver] It's Official... Jan's hands are HUGE!!!

A while back there was some discussion on the List about the size of 
Jans Oegema's (Woodbutcher's) hands.

If you care to go to:

... you will see his hand measured against a ruler. His right hand is 
10-1/2" wide. This means his hands measured together, thumbs touching, 
would be at least 21" across.
My hands in comparison are only 8-3/4" wide, 17-1/2" combined.
This explains why Jan is able to produce so many more carving than I 
am. It also explain why, when Jan talks, there is also a bit of a 
breeze around him. He talks with his hands, you see.

This also explains why Jan is able to deliver bone crushing handshakes.

Thea must have a huge monthly food budget just to keep the man behind 
those hands strong and healthy.

Wow!! Just the thought of it makes me tremble!!!
