[Woodcarver] Beginner looking for instruction around Boston, MA

Hello everyone.  I am totally ignorant about the craft
of woodcarving - and am really interested in being
introduced through some real human interaction.

I've set a personal goal of creating 2 pieces over the
next month.  Although I'm open to book recommendations
- I really want to meet someone who is interested in
sharing.  The closer to Boston - the better... But I
understand I may need to travel.

I'm willing to pay for your time.

Also/or - does anyone know of a good store near
Cambridge or Boston for getting tools or meeting
people?
