Welcome to carving, it's a great past time!
Jack Price has a book, "Carving Compact Characters"
that is a great beginner book. I've been carving for
about a year and I loved that book because it enabled
me to create a recognizable carving in just a few
hours. I still really like it. If you go to my web
site you can see a few of the figures I did using the
book.
