[Woodcarver] oils vs acrylic (chat)

Hi Susan,
As always it helped a lot! I think I might like to try oils. I hate
painting because it covers up the wood and after all that carving I want to
be able to see the wood. And I like the transparant look. I have been told
if I thin down acrylic I can get the same thing but I always manage to put
too much on because it doesn't look like it will show. And I know ...
practice practice and practice again until it is "right" <BG!!> Thanks
