Subject: [Woodcarver] Re: replying to emails
I would like to offer one more suggestion in replying to e mails. Set your
computer to not include the message received when using "reply" (especially
if you, as I, receive the digest version). I suspect that this combined with
cut and paste would help reduce the size of the digests we receive. For the
past week or two, I have been glancing at the topics list then trying to
find the number of something that might interest me (often just giving up
and hitting delete). I know I missed a lot because folks are not changing
the "subject" line when replying to a reply so I have no indication of the
topic. I have recently noticed a pick up of activity on another list and
suspect that the size of digests from this list are a boon to the
alternatives.
I am off to the Silver Dollar City/Ozark Mountain Woodcarvers Seminar in
Branson (next week) and tomorrow night will be changing settings to "read
on-line." Are any others from the list attending? I will be in the Marlen
Downing session in the Frisco Barn.
