Hi all I have one cross pattern on my "Free Pattern page". Its one of my
old ones. I did the design as a three in one many years ago. Three in one
means there are three patterns in one. Each end has a simple pattern that
can be mixed or carved individual.
I am still going to make a couple of new ones. I have family in Nova Scotia
that are devoted Catholic's and I've always wanted to give them a gift. Have
a good one !
I do have a question for those that wish to answer. I am looking to mix
woods, and on my new project I need to connect several woods. By this I mean
I plan on doing a 3 ft high "Zulu Worrier" in the round positioned in a
battle stance with spear and shield. I have the pattern and I am about ready
to start. But like all projects I just added a concept. Because the uniform
or traditional garments are completely different in color I need to add
different woods. So the body is black walnut. The leg covers are white I am
looking at basswood or another very white wood. the cape is zebra wood and
the head dress is going to be ebony or an another dark wood, to the point of
black. Now I have to effectively join woods, in the past not a problem, but
I know I am weak on the subject. I don't know everything about the topic,
and I need to. Does any one know any good books on the subject or WebPages
on line with info?
