Tim, for what it is worth, most of the "tung oil" you buy is
actually a varnish which contains tung oil...Formby's Tung Oil
would be an example. Pure 100% tung oil is available and I
suppose it would be similar to boiled linseed oil. Raw Linseed
Oil will take long time to dry, if it ever does, but boiled
linseed oil, which is not "boiled" at all but has dryers added,
will more or less dry and may be similar to Formby's, etc.
It is probably a take your pick decision on your part. I know
others will not agree with me in any way so you may have some
widely varying opinions on this.
