Robin, based upon the instructions/directions from the list, I did it & none
of the abrasive
came off.
I abraded the wheel until all the old stuff, and glaze, came off. I then
gave it a coating of
Titebone II with an acid brush. When this was dry (overnight) I sanded it
smooth and
applied a second heavy coat. While this was still wet, I poured the abrasive
over the entire
circumference of the wheel & 'patted' it down. Then I gave it another 24
hours & put
it to use. With very pourous material, I find that the 2-coat glue method
gives a better
join.
Nice to see those very fine sparks come off the wheel... have faith & give
it another try.
