[Woodcarver] Back from Ivan Whillock's class

I just uploaded two shots of my class project, Mellaney with the clay bust I
did of her. She is 14 years old and has her own TV show called Mellaney's
World. These shots were taken while her dad was taping to put the story of
this sculpture on her TV show. You may view them in my Webshots, 1st album
titled Carvings Misc (link below).

One of the many cool tricks Ivan taught me was to make the armiture out of
wound rope, coiled in such a way that it can be uncoiled by pulling it out
the bottom before I bake the Super Sculpy clay.

My toaster ovens are too small to bake it so I'll have to wait for a day
when Sharon is at work so I can do it in her cooking oven. Don't tell her.

It was a very enjoyable week. Besides being a master carver, Ivan is also a
trained portrait painter. I took advantage of his knowledge to have him
teach me how to see better and improve my skills of doing a likeness. I also
did about 6 other portrait sketches that week. It was a great learning
experience. Thanks Ivan, every class over the last 6 years, helped me take
my art to a new level.
