Camper John:
I wanted to let you know that the great carving you done for the W3E
exchange made the Missouri trip in great fashion. I freed him from his
restraint, he tipped his hat to me, and then immediately took his place,
front and center, in my collection of carvings. John, you did great. I
enjoyed seeing the carving for the first time and will enjoy seeing it in my
collection for years to come. Thanks much!
Also, thanks to Matt Kelly for arranging the W3E and for overseeing it.
Thanks to Matt, my collection of carvings has sure grown over the last
several years.
As a quick side note, I spoke to the Kansas City Wood Carving Club a couple
of weeks ago concerning carving information on the Internet. I provided
information on all of the lists that I belong to and on Carvers
Companion.com. I showed a nice selection of the carvings that I have
collected to the group. The one thing that got the most attention of all
the carvings shown was the cane projects that I had collected, three to
date. (They do look great!) Thanks folks for providing more information
than I needed for a twenty-minute talk. I hope that some of those in
attendance join the various groups and will enter in the exchanges.
