[Woodcarver] end of saga

For those who have been following my skateboarder, I have put a picture of 
the finished piece on my web page.

This has been an interesting project.
It originated when the was an up cry about the removal of two trees for the 
redevelopment of a railway station.
They salvaged the timber from the trees and gave it to craftsmen to produce 
something which then became an exhibition of the finished pieces. They told 
us that the combined value added from the two trees was $400.000.
This opened on Friday night.
There are pieces by wood turners , carvers furniture makers and jewellers.
They had seven categorys in all with first prize of $1000.00 in each. My 
skateboarder won in carving in the round.
To put the icing on the cake it was purchased by the City of Armadale who 
were the sponsors.
