Recently we had to get better lighting for June's macular degeneration.

We started with Sylvania Daylight bulbs with good results.(grocery store)

 Recently found Sylvania Daylight Plus, better (home improvement store)

. Best so far is Lumiram's "Chromalux" (available from Dick Blick, cost 
$13.00 from eye doctor)

These seem to be reasonably priced (standard type light bulbs) for 
carving and painting.  Old Joe
