Maura,

He retired 4 years before I did so he did lots of the
cooking, grocery shopping and his own laundry.  I did
not take any chores back when I retired and he seems
not to have noticed.  ;~)

Actually we share most duties.  Yard and house. 
Married 42 years and still loving it.  Besides he is
soooooo impressed with my carving that I have a bit of
cart blanche.  

Son Paul is doing all of the work on the shop, I just
get to choose what, where and he does the how.
