[Woodcarver] carvers bench

Steve,

I bought a :clamping table" from Sears a few years ago. The table is like
the Black and Decker workmate, except the height is adjustable, and so is
the angle of the top. You need to replace the hard plastic feet with rubber
ones, so the table doesn't walk, but I find it very usable for about $60.00.
Big Dog has a relief bench in his catalog that is very similar. This bench
is also very portable, as it folds up flat for carrying in your vehicle.

Good Luck,
Dan Heine

> Can anyone tell me if they have had any experience with this

bench.......................and.................does anyone have plans for
anything similar. I am limited in my space and cannot really build a full
size bench. Even the one that Bill Judt shows plans for may be a little too
big for me. I'm intrigued by the Veritas Carvers Bench but put off by the
price........
