  I want to join in expressing thanks for this wonderful List community of carvers. 


  Because it seems so odd, even "empty" to offer vague thanks, without an intended object of thankfulness, I wish to be more direct and clear by expressing thankfulness to God for the blessing of this List.


  In all sincerity, you must know that nine years ago He gave me this list... the technological opportunity for this List, the inward desire to create this community, the insight to see that this List could be a means of ongoing blessing for many, and the strength of mind and spirit to persist in the daily task of overseeing this List for nearly a decade. In fact I see this as God's list, not mine. He's the owner and I am only the steward of it on His behalf.**


  Blessings and Peace on this Thanksgiving Day.

  **Now, those of you who are agnostic or atheist or of another faith group might find it strange that Christians believe the stuff they do. Yet, please do not take offense where none is intended. Since thanksgiving is what this day is all about (even if we Canadians celebrate on a different day) it is important to be direct and clear in what we are thankful for, to whom and why. To do anything less is to untrue to oneself.
