Mush, I did pottery for about 4 years, enjoyed it & I'm not sure why I
stopped.

We had a class project (that I was in charge of) doing Raku in a home made
hill kiln. We loaded the kiln & covered it & we spent all night feeding the
fire & having a party. When uncovered the pieces were of different quality,
based upon what zones/areas they were in. But everyone was happy with their
results.
We thought that we had put the fire completly out, but the roots were
burning & we had to call the fire department. They took a very dim view of
this. Also this was done on a military reservation. The Post Commander
allowed that we shouldn't do this again. ...they can't take a joke.
