The reason That I responded the way that I did was to make you aware that there are those of us out here that have a great deal of respect for your opinions and for the art work that you share with us on the net. New carvers are few and far between in our area and we need all of the incouragement that we can find. When we see your works of art and the pictures shared of classes taught and classes taken we see an opportunity to grow as we sit on the side lines and make wood chips and sometimes firewood. BUT, we are trying. PLEASE, Please be aware that we truly respect and make use of your comments daily.

I Have responded personnally to Two on the list and now I would like to say I am sorry I upset so many people. But again let me say there are those of us out here trying hard to get started and we have a great deal of admiration and respect for you and even though we do not know you personally you are still our teachers and maybe, just maybe, we expect more than we should.

I will continue to carve and continue to view each days e-mail and your web sites and continue to look for the inspiration to keep on carving.

Thank You,
New carver
Larry

p.s. I just recieved my first commission and all of a sudden my knife ways 1000 lbs.
