hi all,
here is another interesting question?

everyone likes to travel including me,i love to.
for excample last year when i was in stockholm,
sweden, for 2 days with my girlfriend, i could just
not resist taking a peak or according to my girlfriend
search for places that had carvings for sale or on
display.
i did not find much due to lack of time, but i did
manageto find one man that was selling his carvings
and puzzles on a little stand he had set up in the old
town.
since i was on a budget and i am not very rich eather
and all i could afford was a puzzle. the puzzle had
his name and phone number on it and it seemed a good
idear to go back one day and take him up on his
invitation to visit him at his home to admire his
carvings the next time we come to stockholm. i am
hoping that one day ill be able to go there again and
say hello and even maybe learn a thing or 2 at that
,about the style he carves in. it was a mix between
flat plane carving and swedish tradinal folk art
humor.old style. it is hard to explain. i did not have
my camera but i am hopefull to someday be able to take
some pictures and share them with all of you.
anyway here is my qeustion to all.

have you while you were on a holiday or traveling
around somewhere in the world ever encountered another
carver or seen carvings that cought your eye, were
different from what you have ever seen or that just
peeked your interest. what was your personal
experience and what impressed you the most?

have a great carving day

harry
