[Woodcarver] Introduction

Chuck,
Thank you. This brings up the topic of fair use and copyright. I did not get
permission, but that is because I do not profit in any way. I don¹¹t sell
these and give complete credit to the source. They are my precioussss.
 I enjoy taking 2 dimensional paintings/drawings and expanding them out to
three dimensions. Some are my own, but most are from my illustrations file.
I could never match what these illustrators have done.

WOW!  Tom - your work is A W E S O M E!!!   I am a huge LOTR and fantasy fan
and your carving capture those images beautifully. I especially love the
dryad being born stained glass collaboration with your wife. Beautiful work.
I am a newbie myself and hope to be able to some work in a similar vein.
You've set the bar quite high. <gulp!>

 

Thanks for sharing your work, and I hope you'll stick around. btw - Did you
have to get permission to do the carvings of the Hildebrant (sp?) Fellowship
picture? I remember that one as I had several of his LOTR calendars. Loved
those illustrations.
