[Woodcarver] Sharpening stones

Hello Everyone,

When purchasing and using diamond sharpening stones, is it better to get the 
flat stones, or the ones with the "honeycombed-type mesh" over the top of 
the stone?  I hope I didn't confuse anyone with all of the technical jargon 
I used!!! :>)
