Hi Diane,
You'll love the Frankenmuth club. Their little club house is a Hansel
and Gretel cottage on the Cass River. They call it the Eagle's nest.
It is such a sweet little place. I wish every town would have a little
building like that for woodcarvers. They rent the building from the
village. But when the village needs some repair done or signs made, the
club members help them out. That is deducted from their rent. So the
Frankenmuth club's rent is paid ahead for about 150 years or some huge
figure. It makes for a nice arrangement.
I was a member for a few years before we came back to this side of the
state. David retired from Birch Run where he taught Spanish for 32
years. David Reed was a band instructor...related ?. Did you retire
from Birch Run?
Give my best to the guys in Frankenmuth.
Good luck
Sally

Thanks for the heads up on carving clubs. I'm going to contact the
Frankenmuth group soon. That's the closest to me here in Clio.
