Thanks, Joe.  Yes, the waterfall is symbolic of the Holy Spirit.  The
picture I have is going to need some modification.  Her picture is in
her head.  I showed her the waterfall I thought would best represent her
ministry, and she just about jumped with joy.  "That's it!"  Then she
showed where it needed to be flowing from and flowing to.  

 

I'm hoping for mahogany, one of my favorite woods.  I'm not a painter,
so she'll need to have someone else do it if she wants it painted.  (We
have the perfect person in our church, too.)  Meanwhile, I'll order
tools.

 

Maura, thanks for the advice.  I'll check out the laminate trimmer idea.
I appreciate the finishing advice, too.
