Hi Jan.  Maybe I'm out of line suggesting this but it sure would be nice if you could get Matt Kelley to post your instructions on the   http://carverscompanion.com/   web site.  There is already a lot of good information there and more would be just that much better.  I found that your link under the Instructers section is dead now and need a refresh.

Diane if you ever get a chance to take a lesson from Jan you will be pleased.  A few years ago Jan was at the Evart Woodcarvers Roundup and many of us Michigan carvers had a real treat.  We walked away with practice sticks on faces, eyes, and lips.  But be warned, we also walked away with a homework assignment (grin).
