[Woodcarver] Santa Carving Class

Lynn,

We all had fun... probably the instructor most of all.  It was a picture
perfect weekend... deep into the Adirondacks, just enough snow to dust the
trees, and a small class of first timers.  This was an "ice breaker" class.
We had just enough students this time to make it worth commuting.  Next
class (late winter, Swedish trolls) it's almost guaranteed to have more
students, and I have a couple standing offers for lodging.

The two students in the pictures are year round residents of Inlet and Blue
Mountain.  Sherry hikes mountains, road bikes, mountain bikes and does a 90
mile canoe race in September. Nancy is part of her support crew.  That area
has a long tradition of woodcarving... Rick and Ellen Butz both taught at
the Art Center where I was, and at the Adirondack Museum, and Sagamore (one
of the "great camps").

The e-book?  Great lead-in, Thanks<G>.  Actually, I'm taking all the great
feedback I got from folks who viewed my Swedish troll DVD and making another
for beginner Santas.  The three brothers who shot the troll DVD have
upgraded their camera equipment and we're renting some better sound
equipment for this next one.
