[Woodcarver] Woodburning System

Hi
I've been woodburning for several years. I started with a nicrome
wire type and found
that I didn't like it because the temperature of the wire dropped
dramatically the instant
that it touched the wood. I finally decided to switch to the solid
point type and used it
ever since. The solid point type can be found as a beginner's unit at
about 600 degrees F
and a hight temp unit at 900 F. My suggestion is to get the high temp
unit and to build a
temperature controller (see my home page
http://none332.home.mchsi.com/
and then choose <My Woodburnings>)
A place to look for one of these units is at a Michaels Craft Store.
The hi temp unit
will cost about $25.
