Welcome to the list.

I don't normally respond to many messages on the list, but yours I just had to.  I grew up in Ohio and, being of Scandinavian descent, attended the local Evangelical Lutheran Church where I was confirmed at age 15 (or so).  

I am a retired Chemical Engineer living in Sun City, Arizona (a state I learned to love in 1965 when I came West to finish my undergraduate degree).  I hope you got time, in your year-long internship in Yuma, to tour the state and see the wonders of Arizona.

I have been carving about as long as you.  My progress was slow until I hooked up with a couple of carving clubs including being a Charter Member of The Sun City Carvers.  If you find carving fun and fulfilling as do I, you will succeed.
