If your in Florida I would be careful for they have a state law against cutting any Cyprus knees that haven't been granted permission by the State. They have a heavy fine, so be careful and check with authorities first.

  I have fond a place with a large amount of cypress knees & was wondering what is the best way to harvest them.

  Also would it hurt the tree to take some of them--

  Wanting to do no harm unless harvesting the trees too.
