Hi Jim
My palm tool carrier is 2 pieces of 2 X 4 glued together to make a
block
3 X 3-1/2 X 6. There are 5/8" holes bored 3-1/4 deep (in the 3-1/2)
dimension
every 1" apart in each 2 X 4 to get a total of 10 holes. The hole
diameter
is big enough for the widest tool but too small for the handle. There
is a
piece of leather (imitation) glued to one of the sides that goes over
top
and held in place with a velcro strip. This holds everything together.

Each tool has the shape of the business end burned into the sides of
the
wooden handle for easy identification.

My knives (3 -- general cutting, detail, and extra fine detail) are
in a roll-up
pouch made from chamois with heavy leather to hold the blades. My
knives are
homemade -- see "How To" on my home page (below). Both of these along
with
magnifier, sharpening stones, hones, etc. are all carried in one of
those plastic
Sterilite boxes with the carry handle that you can buy from Walmart.

Hope this helps
