Peter:
I was also going to respond with the "I use a mallet" line... but
then I remembered that the last three days I have been applying the
finish tool marking to the surface of a large relief carved in BEECH
(a particularly hard species of beech from the Sonova region of
costal B.C.) and realized that my well callused palm was getting sore.
What I did was to alternate tasks, giving my palm a rest. But
thinking more about it, I could have placed a pad of thick leather in
my palm and continued working. But my wrists and elbows and shoulders
were tired, so...
Blessings and Peace,
Bill
