One year I put my tools, blade first into styrafoam, thinking that would keep them safe - not so! They all had rust on the blades that I have not yet been able to remove. Moisture picked up from the house I guess. I think cork would be much the same.

Hi Jim,
The knives that I have I stick into a cork. Also, some of my palm tools. A tool roll helps too.

Last thing you should do is stick your tools in cork Steve and Jim
There is acid in cork and it eats away on the edge of your tools
