I'll stand out in the minority here on the messages.  I went to the digest 
format a couple of years ago since I subscribe to about 15 or more newsgroups in 
several different topics.  Most have 1-5 messages a day, while the carving list, 
and a couple of others have 10-25 per day.  Having the entire 24 hours worth of 
messages all together in one long digest helps me keep a continuous thread 
straight in my mind while reading it.  Often, someone has answered a question 
that I might have responded to, but that is fine, I'm not the expert on a lot of 
stuff.

Besides, by the time you have waded thru a humorous exchange like Lori and Jan 
have been running, it is much funnier to see it as 5-6 messages in a row, rather 
than spread across a day or more.
