[Woodcarver] digest vs single

As a member of this list who is constantly on the road and accesses email
remotely, it is much easier to grab one daily message than to deal with opening
and closing and deleting 20 - 40 messages daily. Sometimes it is several days
before I connect with a library or campground with internet access and then the
library limits you to 30 minutes of time on the net.

I do have one request for everyone, please erase the message you are responding
to and all of the headers and footers that accompany each message. If you must -
keep just a snippet of the original so everyone knows what you are responding to.
When I read the digest I sometimes see the original message 15 times during the
course of the digest. This is wasted time and space in the digest. It takes
longer to download and eats up my computer time. I would think it would be
annoying on individual messages also.

Just for a couple of weeks, could we try having everyone erase all of the excess
stuff on each message? If everyone likes it, maybe it could become policy?????

Thanks for considering this idea.
