Hello folks,

Just thought I would give y'all an update on our friend Lynn Diel's battle 
with cancer.  He has been on one FDA approved drug protocol, but it hasn't 
been doing him any good.  He had to fail the first protocol before being 
allowed a new FDA drug protocol.  He's been on that for awhile and it's 
been taking the stuffing outta him.  He  says he is in God's hands and, I 
quote, "I can't think of a better place to be!"  He sincerely thanks 
everyone for their continued thoughts and prayers.

The old saying goes ... Every cloud has a silver lining ... Lynn's current 
silver lining is the release of his new book "Flat Plane Carving The 
Nativity".  It was all done digitally, so Lynn was able to add all sorts of 
helpful notations showing exactly where to carve and what to take off with 
your tools.  Lynn's designs are simple enough for even a novice to create 
the nativity scene.  Each chapter covers a different figure from Mother 
Mary in Chapter One to a little lamb in Chapter 12.  Chapter 13 covers his 
finishing techniques.  Lynn is hoping for enough strength to be able to 
fulfill his teaching obligation at Silver Dollar City in March where he 
will be carving the Nativity.

We received our first shipment of the book and I can tell you after reading 
through it that Lynn has come up with a winner!
