Chuck,
Welcome to the NEWR family... I think the benefits from you and your wife
joining us were mutual... maybe tipped a bit in our favor. I'm already
looking forward to the next year's "Christmas-in-July", and Harold was
working on his class schedule as we drove back home.
Merrilee, I'm sorry your trip home wasn't better... I'll save a troll for
you next year <or ship it to you before you pack and come East ;-)>. The
only two finished trolls I had with me were given to Sally and David Nye
<just because> and Tony Erikson. You know why Tony got one even though he
"branded" me the Evil Troll Maker (he even had lyrics and music!... in the
key of "D", of course). It came to me that he was just having difficulty
accepting the fact that a half Swede woodcarver knows how to domesticate
trolls. He desperately needed one for himself as a "go-by" <G>.
Even the trolls that I partially carved during class worked well enough that
Harold and I had two great side trips on the way home. One stop was at
Dennis Thornton's new place and the other visit was to the Golden paint
factory. OK, it probably wasn't the trolls, but it helps dispel the "Evil"
part of my new title.
More tidbits and Thanks later... I have to catch up on some yard work, and
the ivy is out of control... starting to make it hard to see out the windows
and open the front door. If only I could train my trolls to do chores.
Keep on Carvin'
-Mike B.->
