Have you tried Bri Wax. It is a past wax. If you haven't tried it you
might want to give it a shot. For brown I would suggest the light brown as
the dark brown is nearly black.

I just posted some photos of my finished bear mask carving on my
picturetrail "Carvings" album. The first photo include a discription of the

I have been using the Watco finishing wax with good results but I am not
please with the fact that it is so liquid (must contain a solvent) and does
not dry in a reasonable amount of time. Even a very thin, wiped down coat
takes quite a while to dry to the point where it can be buffed (much longer
than it says on the can to allow). If any one else is using a different
finishing wax or has experience with several of them and has a preference, I
would like to know of some recommended options to to the Watco.
